The Human Manager is a passion project born from real experiences, real mistakes, and real moments of seeing how deeply management affects people’s lives. It exists because behind every business, every performance issue, every success and every failure, there are human beings trying to do their best — often under pressure, often misunderstood, and often unheard.

This is not a theory-based philosophy.
It’s a practical, honest look at what it actually feels like to be managed — and what it truly means to manage well.

At its heart, The Human Manager is about awareness, responsibility, and impact. It challenges the everyday behaviours that slowly erode trust, confidence, and motivation, and replaces them with simple, human-centred ways of leading that people can actually feel. It speaks to managers who care, to those who want to do better, and to organisations that understand that performance and humanity are not opposites — they are connected.

The Human Manager exists as a book, as in-house workshops, and as after-dinner speaking for organisations that want a powerful, thought-provoking, and often emotional look at the reality of human behaviour at work. These sessions are candid, relatable, and designed to leave people thinking differently about how they show up for others — whether they lead teams of two or two hundred.

This work sits alongside the consultancy, but it stands on its own.
It isn’t about strategy, EBITDA, or turnaround plans.
It’s about people.
And the belief that better human management doesn’t just change workplaces — it changes lives.

Surviving Stress began as a personal reckoning.
After experiencing a life-threatening medical event linked directly to prolonged stress, Tim was forced to confront the reality that stress is not just a performance issue — it is a health issue, a leadership issue, and in many cases a life-or-death issue. What started as recovery became reflection. What followed was a commitment to speak honestly about a subject that most people quietly endure and rarely address properly.

This upcoming book is not about buzzwords, productivity hacks, or surface-level wellbeing advice.
Surviving Stress explores what stress really looks like inside modern life and leadership — how it builds unnoticed, how it changes behaviour, how it distorts decision-making, and how easily it becomes normalised until something breaks. It is written from lived experience, not theory, and is designed to be practical, confronting, and real.

Alongside the book, Tim will be delivering Surviving Stress talks, keynote sessions, and in-house programmes for organisations that want to address stress at its root — not just manage its symptoms. These sessions are honest, human, and deeply relevant to leaders, teams, and individuals working in high-pressure environments. They are not about “coping better” — they are about understanding what stress is really doing to us, and how to change the conditions that create it.

Surviving Stress is coming soon.
It exists because this conversation matters — and because for many people, it’s later than they think.
